How to turn a roster image into reviewed calendar shifts

On-device text recognition can reduce typing, but roster layouts vary. A review step is essential before any detected shift becomes part of your schedule.

1. Use a clear source image

Crop out unrelated content, keep the roster straight and use the highest readable resolution. Avoid glare, shadows and motion blur.

2. Check the detected worker and dates

Confirm that the correct row or name was selected and that every date belongs to the expected month and year.

3. Review every start and end time

Pay special attention to overnight shifts, 12-hour/24-hour formats, split shifts and abbreviations that the roster uses.

4. Remove uncertain results

Import only shifts you can verify. Fix duplicates and manually add anything OCR could not read.
